It has been a bit late to write but I was watching this match again and again in the last couple of days. The match was Epic. As the score shows - Full of Dramas. It would need 3 or 4 pages to write what happened which I would not go to detail this time.
Because it's Time to celebrate! So happy for Del Potro!
His long waited moment has finally come. As a 10 year+ Delpo fan, I have been desperate for this moment for sooo long and could not be more delighted to see him lifting the biggest trophy after all the injuries he had been through in the past decade.
There have been ups and downs, joys and tears throughout his career. Series of injury let him down but strong belief and faith saved him from being down and out.
His biggest moment was nearly a decade ago. The 20 year old Del Potro defeated 5 time champion Roger Federer at the US Open 2009 - one of the most dramatic Finals in US Open history. Today, he did repeat that drama again and showed the world how heart can move mountains, how heart can beat the very best in the world if not the very best in history. Bigger than his missile forehand, his heart has been the biggest weapon to comeback from the brink. He would never give up until the very last point. No one deserves this title better than Del Potro.
Congratulations Delpo!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait for your continuing Renaissance!
